I'm guessing this was well flagged. The fact the club were promoting the Sponsor Free option to buy the blue and white shirt was very odd.
Brilliant, but it had to piss off Betway big time.
Also are we wearing sponsor free shirt in Europe due to UEFA advertising rules for European competitions ? If your main sponsor isn't getting the exposure on the biggest stage they aren't going to be happy !

Rainham steel possibly. I think they sponsored Scunthorpe at one time. Other than that one of the big tech companies might come along.

Betting firms have the monopoly on shirt sponsors.
I'd like to see us promote a local based company, personally.

Ask Nigerian Airlines again, they were our mystery non-sponsors who pulled the rug from Peter Storrie’s feet in the 1997-98 season and ultimately cost him his job the season after.
I suppose after leaking to a few selected people in the media that it was going to be the biggest sponsorship deal in English football and ending up with nothing would tend to piss off the wrong people.
It will be one of the very few moments in our history we could be compared to Barcelona, the only two clubs in the top two divisons of world football that no shirt sponsor.
Barcelona out of choice and West Ham out of incompetence

I asked before, but never saw if anyone answered. Why didn’t we have a shirt sponsor for the game in Zagreb?
Hate to say, but I struggle with my Betway account, too much security for me and I’m locked out at the moment... I guess the fear is I rob myself...

'West Ham to lose shirt sponsor' is a bit dramatic and clickbaity for that story title.
Should be 'betting companies may become outlawed as shirt sponsors'
Just as a coincidence, guess how many of the 'big six' are sponsored by betting companies? That's right, ZERO. So this becomes a financial problem for almost everyone else aside from them. Who'd have thought it?

We'll end up being sponsored by the Rejoin the EU Campaign as it will be the only fucking way they'll be getting close to that shitfest again.
Someone best start a CrowdFunding page to raise the necessary.
